Burns Gulch is a quick up-and-back-down road, one of many in the Silverton area. It is a little over 1.5 miles in length and lies between Eureka and Animas Forks, adjacent to the Picayane/Picayune turnoff. It affords a close up view of the distinguishable Niagra Peak, which reaches 13,807'. Views of this peak can be seen from a number of the nearby roads, including from the Oh! Point spur off of Engineer Pass. From the top of the gulch, you look back down to Animas Forks. The road itself is extremely tame and doesn't have much exposure. It's definitely worth a quick trip if you have the time.
