The ratings I have posted are using Colorado's 10-scale. I should mention that scenic roads outweigh the technical stuff for me in terms of my preference and what I have driven to this point. My 4Runner is capable enough for all but only eight roads (more extreme in nature) in the state, which is good enough for me, especially since those last ones offer no additional scenic value over their adjacent roads. I have a lot of updates that could be added, both adding or replacing galleries in the existing write-ups, and adding a number of trails I don't have listed yet, but I've neglected updating this page for a couple of years now, as I've stopped doing the four-wheeling for the mere sport of it, and all of my trips anymore are purely for picture taking. So, I've concentrated on getting other content uploaded to the rest of the site. If I happen to take a 4WD road en route to where I'm going, then all the better. This page was originally put up not to be a trail guide, but rather to offer complete picture galleries of all the roads at most of the points along the way to give people who have never been on them to get a good feel of the given area. To that end, I hope it succeeds in that manner for you. Let's
get going!
